Hey C-Towners, let's give a warm welcome to the newest member of Block C...
Meet Chouchou. Though she hasn't met Momo yet, I'm sure they will be well acquainted in no time. They're both ladies though (so no chances of hammie babies there).
And no, it was not brought in by a fanatical pet owner. It was a gift from Tat Chin's buaya to him. It was accompanied by a note that said "you have to take responsibility for me" (translated from Chinese), a pun hiding the true intentions of his cheeky buaya.
Tat Chin's initially horrified expression of "Huh?! You expect me to keep that?!" soon tamed down. Within 60 minutes, his paternal instincts were finely tuned, and he was rocking the hamster to sleep, to the amusement of all the curious visitors in his room.
The manhunt for terrorists can stop right here, right now. A huge banner appeared in the communal hall, headlined "Your father must be a terrorist cos you 'da bomb." For the convenience of the CID, this chap stays in C4**. Well - can't make it too easy, can we?

And even those who are not playing Buaya Week are getting buaya-ed..and not on a small scale. Side projects are super effort lah! Applause please.

Of course, with the attraction of our Block C girls, Quin is not the only one receiving such unsolicited attentions. Chia Cui Shan, of C3** is too. Notice how both are level 3 babes. Another round of applause!
This afternoon saw a group of people congregated on the level 4 common corridor and staring fixedly at the floor (of all things), screaming "sooooo freaky!!!!" This curious photographer went to take a closer look...

Lo and behold. Grace multiplied.
And..we have the "twins". Gloria & Gloria.
For those who don't know, there are two Glorias in Block C this year. Both are level 3 babes.
One is named Gloria Li.
And the other is named Gloria Lee (yours truly).
This is a sweet effort by Gloria Li's buaya.
And this is a not-so-sweet effort by Gloria Lee's buaya. Damn, "tong2 ren2 bu4 tong2 ming4" (literally translated in Chinese, means 'same people, different lives'). Sigh. Gloria wanted to reciprocate with a copy of the latest FHM or Maxim for his future reference, but finally decided against it.
Seriously.
We have lucky people getting deliciously-set candlelight dinners in the comfort of their own rooms. Yong Lun, the lucky guy in question, even had the temerity to laugh at the envious photographer, asking, "Haha, why your buaya so lousy?"
And I would think breakfast sets such as these would make waking up worth looking forward to. But the recipient told the messenger to scold his buaya for making him breakfast so late (or so early, depending on how you look at it - it was 5.30am in the morning). How would you react? P/s: the tray contained ice cream, chocolates, crackers with cheese, and choya.
And there are also buayas who try to stave off their buayee's hunger by plying them with an impossible-to-finish amount of a single food - in this case popcorn. The buayee discovered the box outside her door in the early afternoon. She started on the uphill task of trying to finish the contents in the box. 12 hours later, after munching continuously on the kernels, and pouncing on anyone and everyone she saw in her continuous rounds around the block to share the yum, the box was not yet emptied. Too corny lah. But still sweet. (:
This is a classic example of how buayees should not react when receiving stuff from their buayas.
Oh, did I hear you say it was mean of the messenger to wake him up from his sleep to give him food? Maybe I should clarify. It was at 6.45pm. That was dinner. And the pouting act spoilt all our appetites for our own dinners.

There are also a few romantic diehards coming out of the closet, or the letterbox, for this matter. Can you tell its a letterbox standing on a garden patch? To the person concerned: where's the house and the white picket fence surrounding it?

Oh, yeah baby. You can't possibly have missed this if you have been to level 5 anytime between the weekend and now. An entire row of hearts lining the corridor's ceiling from the lift lobby to...
Kaijia's room! Her buaya claims he tailored the length of the dangling strings to fit her height so that she can walk perfectly well without any trouble but everyone else has to bow before her. Awww.

Her expression of ecstasy tells it all.
Oh, did I mention she has already proposed to her buaya? ;)
Yes, you noob, proposed as in marriage proposal.
Balloons lining the frame of Yee Voon's door!
Mind you, that's only the tip of the iceberg. Her buaya's most talked about accomplishment will be featured in the next blog post!
Many many new door tags appearing all over the place. Chee Seng's seems the most eye-catching so far.
Some buayas have also resorted to lies and trickery to please their buayees during this week, so as not to breach the solemn buaya week pledge they undertook earlier. Classic example as below. :p
Works of art also emerging like no one's business.
And blocking the way...
But for this week, just bear with it! Once a year only! (:
I don't know where that plant came from and I'm not sure I want to know either. Um. It could be the buaya's home, but it looks pretty similar to one I saw on the rooftop not too long ago. Maybe they're relatives. Yes, that should be it. Innocent till proven guilty.
Neon paper. Minimum effort, maximum impact. Swee!
Okay, Wind loves Chee Mei. But the many yakult bottles used in this project make you wonder whether Wind has been making frequent trips to the rag store.. Tsk.
While in the midst of enjoying yourself, help to keep Block C safe by keeping a lookout for Wanted Men. Chief among them Alvin Ang - as shown in the many posters all over the blog by his buaya who signs herself off as "Mrs Ang".
Lee Loong's not having so much fun getting his face trampled on by the many visitors passing through the Blk C common level. But yea, we get the point his buaya is trying to make. She doesn't like him very much.
Kidding lah!

Val caught the fisherman's heart in her net. Wait, wouldn't that make HER the fisherman? I think her buaya's a bit confused. Or maybe it's just me, and the time. Oh, and maybe the fact that 48 hours without sleep isn't very healthy for the human mind.

C-Towners chiong-ing stuff for their buayas is always unglamness at its max. But its okay Damien, you have one person who will always love you even during your bad hair days. In case you were wondering, that person isn't me. K thanks.

After seeing all the fun the buayas and buayees are having, we see Teck Choo moaning in the lift at 5 in the morning - "Why was I so stupid? Why did I not play Buaya Week?" It took the strength of 10 men to prevent him from continuing to bang his head against the lift wall. We know he's the fittest guy in our block, but our lift isn't exactly in the fittest condition to withstand his attentions.

He eventually started hugging himself after we managed to convince him that Block C still loves him, and that he should start loving himself to get into the spirit of Buaya Week. And he did. Power!

Block C has been really super duper "up" for this year's Buaya Week. Other blocks have also commented on this (honestly, this part is real)! We have seen an increased flow of human traffic (from other blocks) at ungodly hours just to visit for inspiration. But then, they stare at the god-like enthusiasm of our C-Towners, and can only shake their head in despair, for they can never hope to measure up in the things that we are willing to do for our beloved Buayas and Buayees.

Oh, this gigantic heart was made up of many many many many many sweets. Damn sweet lah! Meanwhile, many many many more updates coming your way. Keep your eyes peeled to this space. In many cases, you won't believe your eyes.

Till the next post (which promises photos and reviews on stuff done by Jia Fen's buaya), lots of love, hugs & kisses from Gloria. *mwacks!
