Challenge Noctiphobia

SL's nite cycling was quite an eventful nite, despite the short distance we covered compared to the one we had last year and to the ones that our block organises.

The night started quite late, around 11 plus, as most of the SHearites took their time to assemble for the safety briefing and later preparing for move off. The first stop was King Albert Park's Macs, though we didn't go in to have a snack. The first stop was mainly to make sure things were alright and everyone was happy with their bikes. No much problems though, except for Edlina having some trouble with the gears, which refused to cooperate with her. After coaxing it while, we were on our way again.

The next stop was Adam Road Food Centre. A lengthy stop where most of us had a few drinks to quench our thirst and a quick snack before going to Newton Circus, our next stop. Just as we're about to leave, Xiaodi's brakes froze and the front wheel couldn't move. Most of the block had left for Newton, while Junhao called for the van to bring in the toolbox to fix the brakes. But the brakes just couldn't work and her bike was replaced. We took a while to catch up with the rest and by the time we caught up at Newton, the block was already feasting on the stingray.

After refuelling ourselves, it was off to Lau Pa Sat, but first to Elgin Bridge where we took a scenic group photo. A quick stop and off to the 'old market'. The dim sum stall offered a steaming hot food on a late night, while others decided to cool it off on the desserts. Just as we're about to leave, I saw the guys pushing the lorry. Guess it died but didn't really figure what happened to it.

Next stop, Kallang Indoor Stadium. Another stop where we had 100plus ( same as Macs) and rested a while. By now, you could see the tiredness in most of us, but all knew it going to end soon.

On the way to ECP, at the Kallang Macs, while trying to avoid an old lady, Xiaodi swerved her bike and fell, grazing her knees. Though it was just a slight injury and wanting to go on, the rest of us insisted she hop on the van to ECP instead. The action was over yet.
Along the ECP, Huihan had her fair share of the fall as she was trying to cycle without both hands.

It was relief when we reach ECP Macs and the morning breakfast waiting for us there sure help made the sleep and rest after that so much nicer.
