kukup trip..

yeanching's first post on blk c diary shall be on the kukup trip. =) 7 of us from the blk went to kukup over the weekend.. darius, joy, samson, joey, ham, peihoon and me.

even before we started the trip there were already a series of unfortunate events. most of us were thinking, "oh no.. dun tell me it'll be like another KL trip.. hope nothing really bad will happen.."

when we reached clementi, the place to board the bus, some of us wanted to go get breakfast from macs. but the fierce auntie who was supposed to be on the trip with us insisted that there was no time, and asked us to get up on the bus immediately. obviously we didn't obey her orders as it was more important to fill the hungry stomach..

then on the bus, joey's chair broke!

and our jcrc president, somehow missed his dad a lot. he filled his father's name on his disembarkation card TWICE! in the end joy had to fill up his card to prevent him for writing his father's name for the 3rd time.

we were very excited with the bunk beds. haha. everyone was fighting to sleep on the top tier.

the afternoon was spent visiting the fishing village and the nature reserve. after visiting those places, we walked around the streets to look for things to buy. thanks to uncle teckchiew, we went around looking for TOMYUM flavored anchovies. obviously there were none. only ham would be gullible enough to believe him.

there were 4 different groups of people together with us on the trip. and it seems from the very start to the very end of the trip that we were always the last. last to finish our meals (every meal..), last to finish visiting the nature reserve and even last to wake up for breakfast and to leave the chalet. oops. darius had to brisk walk to make sure that we were not the last. but no use.. still last. haha. guess we're so used to the relaxed lifestyle and the take-your-time attitude..

the meals were probably the only thing that made us really happy. haha. every meals we will have at least 7 to 8 dishes. and we had 5 meals for the one and a half day there. really super a lot of food.

by 3pm, we were left with nothing to do in kukup. haha. so we went back to the chalet wanting to sing karaoke. we thought it would be like the kbox style, but only to realize that the karaoke room was equipped with speakers, tv, mics, dvd player and 2 stacks of karaoke vcds (one stack of hokkien songs, and one stack of supposed chinese pop songs which were mostly unreadable by the player..) so the rest decided to do the normal blk sport. mahjong!

we played sparkles while the rest played with real fireworks.
